Aiming to Step Up the Pace in 2008/09 Season
Victorian
Liam Williams is certainly looking to step up the pace heading into
the 2008/09 season for Formula 500s, and he has started by announcing
that he will campaign the American imported Pace Chassis.
Williams,
who has just completed his first season in the Formula 500 ranks,
has switched from last season’s RTS Chassis to the Pace Chassis
and is looking to continue his surge towards the pointy end of the
field. The Jettco Engine Developments prepared Yamaha R6 powerplant
will once again remain with the switch to the Pace Chassis.
Ahead
of the new season, Williams is focusing on all the blue-ribbon shows
that includes the Oval Express Series, Victorian and South Australian
Titles, Jack Willsher Cup, and of course the biggest event on the
calendar, the Australian Title, and the 20-year-old certainly has
no plans of just making up the numbers wherever he competes.

“I’m
very excited about the Pace Chassis and this is certainly not going
to be a step backwards, as I want to build towards being a consistent
front runner and with my Jettco Engine Developments powerplant and
the Pace Chassis I feel I can achieve that,” Williams enthused.
“For
this season my focus is all the major shows, as I’m aiming to build
on my debut season, that was full of highs and lows, and develop
more as a driver and help promote the Pace Chassis brand.”
Special
thanks must go to Pace Chassis importers Chris and Dale Shilleto
from Queensland.
