Williams
Revved Up for Formula 500 Return
Liam
Williams is set to resume his 207/08 season this Saturday night
(March 1) at Ballarat’s Redline raceway during the latest round
of the Victorian Stampede Formula 500 Series.
It
has been nearly two months that Williams has been on the sideline
after his car destroying wreck during the final round of the Oval
Express Series at Parramatta City Raceway in Sydney NSW in early
January, and his # 62 RTS has undergone a complete rebuild thanks
to the efforts of Greg Foster from D&F Race Products.
“My
car was heavily damaged from the crash, and it has been a big effort
just to get it back on the track,” the 20-year-old said.
“The
main damage was to the front end of the car, and a new complete
front end has been rebuilt on the car, and huge thanks must go to
Greg [Foster] and the D&F Race Products team for all their efforts
in getting the car race ready.”

Williams
is now focusing on a strong finish to the remainder of the 2007/08
season.
“We
have had a hiccup to our season, and that has now made me even more
determined to finish the season on a bright note,” Williams said.
“The
plan is to complete the remainder of Victorian Stampede Series and
contest the Australian Title, so we are looking to get things back
on track starting this weekend and move towards the Top 5.”
